I temperature acclimate then pretty much just dump the fish in unless it's come straight from a drop shipment or something. It takes several days to change the osmotic pressure in the cells of the fish if they are moving from a low salinity to a high salinity. The idea that you could do this in a couple of hours in a myth. When you drip acclimate, you are more adjusting the fish to differences in pH and temp.

Unless the seller can tell you the salinity of the water, you should check that yourself and if the difference is much, you should be acclimating over a much longer period of time, as lIssa mentioned sometimes days.
The PH difference also plays a factor too, a larger one than the SG.
What is the SG & PH of the water the fish is in that you are trying to acclimate?

I drip to acclimate to temp and ph and so that the store water never ever ever touches my display tank.

If the difference between the stores water and your water are great in SG & PH, you can potentially kill the fish by acclimating for such a short period of time.
Are you going to QT the fish?

A little off topic but anthias are very good at wasting there O2 supply, just keep that in mind while acclimating.

I agree I have never acclimated a fish in my life... If you water is good and the fish is somewhat healthy, you should be fine.. I do temp acclimate if it is a big difference in the two waters...

If you acclimate 4 hours the fish will come close to suffocating in the bucket if not doing more harm than good,,lol..
I have kept Bartletts and Borbonius, both got slammed.. But my water quality is up there..
