I am starting my first salt aquarium, its a 36 gallon corner bow, there are pics on the tank forum. Anyway I have been looking at different fish for my tank, my question is can I have more then two clowns in my tank? I have always seen only two clowns in other peoples tanks, is there a reason for that?

You can definitely have more than one clown. Just make sure they are of the same type. Make sure that you have ample room in the tank. Get clowns that are a little different in size and that they are introduced at the same time or close to it.

People have different results with getting more then a pair. The more docile ones like occelaris are more likely to get along in groups but as any clown matures it will be more aggressive and may try to get rid of odd ones out.I just say don't try it.

You can definitely have more than one clown. I have a saddleback and an ocellaris together. For the most part they stay on seperate sides of the tank, then you see the occasional chase, but that is per say once a week that I have observed.
