What are the chances of a rabbitfish killing other fish in a 125g? I just lost a medium sized tang and I am wondering if it got stuck by a small lion in the tank, and I don't want to add any more poisonous fish if they can pose such a danger to their tankmates.

Their venomous spines are their natural defense. Yes, they can be fatal to other fish. I won't bet that was the cause though. Could have been something else too. Have you recently added any other fish? Is it possible you unknowingly added a parasite or pathogen?
