I have a beautiful Male McCosker flasher wrasse who is in a 90 gallon reef tank .He is housed with other wrasses(no other flashers ) and other reef safe fish , he is very active and comfortable in the tank ,he has amazing colors when he flashes but doesnt flash so often ,only sometimes when he gets excited by feeding time or other random times he wants to show off to a small fish . How can i get him to flash more often ? Either I was thinking about getting another male McCoskers but i dont want them to fight (,even though the aqauscape is a very open and there is alot of open area for them to swim around )but then theres a possibility that the new male with turn into a female .Hmmmmm Or i can get another type of flasher possible a male Filamented Wrasse - Paracheilinus filamentosus and watch them flash together .
any ideas ???

I would not get a second McCoskers male as they will surely fight and it is highly unlikely that a male will revert back to a female. You could try a different species of Flasher, but I would add more than one to minimize aggression. I do hope your tank is VERY well covered as they will (not might) jump.

get a female McCosker. I have a male and female and the male flashes for her but I wouldn't say all the time - just when he feels like it, lol.

Hang a small mirror next to the tank, facing in. When he sees his own reflection, he will think another male is nearby and flash. It worked great for my Flasher until he hipped outta of the tank.

and yes, like Randy said, I hope you have a good top. My male jumped out even though I had an eggcrate cover - he went right through the eggcrate, onto my rug. He survived the flight, and I replaced the eggcrate with a better top.
