I have only tried lyretails and can't seem to keep these sensitive suckers alive. I have a 125g, and every other fish is fine. I feed freeze dried cyclop-eez to the anthias, maybe not often enough? Are there any hardier anthias out there?

Not that I know of! Try feeding mysis shrimp several times (at least twice a day). I have successfully kept larytails, dispar, and a hutomoi who are know eating anything I put in the tank including pellets, seawead flakes, etc..... I've had mine for about a year now.;)

I've had success with squamipinnis anthias. They are hardy-ish and have always eaten mysis immediately (like stated, at least 2x per day).

Lyretails are one of the easiest ones out there.

i have heard the same thing.

I only have experience with Dispars. I recieved 3 and I could only get 1 of them eating right. The one that survived I still have and he eats frozen mysis, formula 1 flake, and frozen cyclopeeze. He gets fed 3 times a day.

yea,
The Dispars are much more mellow. After I put the first bunch of dispars in I tried to add some more, didnt go well with the first ones. Maybe 1 or two made it. I then added the bartletts and the dispars never never even looked at them. I wouldnt add any new ones at all after having the old ones in my tank for a couple of years now.
