I got this fish from Devious(Phil) a while back. This is the first copperband butterfly I've ever owned that eats flake food, pellets, frozen foods, loves nori, mysis shrimp, and the most important aiptasia.

Copperbands are a hard to keep fish, difficult to get to eat and need excellent water quality. Phil I just wanted to show you that he is doing GREAT and in good hands!!! Many Thanks...

Here are some pics below, not the greatest, but he is enjoying the nori...

it's hit or miss with the food. mysis is the best bet, or an open clam or mussel.

Nori and flake is just plain weird for a CBB to eat.

They are one of the most frustrating fish to try to keep, they may look fine one day and the next day be dead. I would not purchase one again. Mine is now blind and eating two mussels a day.

This is my fifth one I am on and I was about to give up. I've had no luck with them. He is not shy and the first to come when I put food in the tank, especially nori, very weird, but a good thing and Jhale is right, they look fine one day and dead the next.

I am just happy that when I wake up in the morning and check on him that he is still alive. Sometimes I am afraid to even look...

Looks great Ray!
Good to see you're both happy & she's enjoying her new home:)

Beautiful fish, but hard to get to eat. This was my 2nd attempt at keeping one & had her for over year. Great personality, not shy & can hold her own with most fish. But it's definitely hit or miss (personality wise & appetite wise). In the beginning I really over-fed the tank to get her to eat. She began to go towards other foods as my mixture has everything in it & I also alternate foods daily. She found the Nori on her own (maybe copying my tangs...lol).
I would not recommend just anybody getting one, as their track record is worst than their survival rate. Especially if you're just trying to eliminate an aiptasia problem. They are not 100% reef safe either & pretty passive for a FO tank.

Good luck with her Ray. I know you'll take care if her. I was very picky on who's tank she would go to.
Thanks for the update.
