I am going to KILL my maroon clown

ARGH!!!!!!!!

This fish I have had for maybe 7 years, maybe 8 - I don't even remember. I got him as a pity buy - the tank he was in was full of dead fish - and I was a big reef DUMMY then - a BABY to the hobby....

I never would have known (moron) that this fish would decide that HE owns my tank and can redecorate as he desires.... So in the mean time, he dumps sand on my acans, picks at the gorgonian, picks up and moves anything that he wants to and chases the ONLY other fish in the tank when he's bored....

So if anybody wants a nice big, healthy, fat, maroon clown (possibly for a tank full of triggers or lion fish?) - let me know because I need him OUT of my TANK......

N O W

:)

Russ, if I can catch him tonight, i'll happily put him in the fuge, but Jim thinks it's inhumane (yes, even for this fish....)

looks like someone might actually want him though....

wanna help me catch a fish?

Soooo Tahl..having issues with your fishy are ya? :)
Come on now, you know you'd feel guilty if you gave him away! You're his Mom! :) He was a cute little pup when you got him and NOBODY is going to take as good a care of him as YOU! the :fish:

Ummm...Is this working??

Grab some glue and nail those silly corals down and add another fish or 3 and things will be peachy!:lol_large

If none of that works, then I have no idea who stole my name and posted on this thread...:smokin:

female? We sure of that? the males are little and peaceful and submissive? neat breed.... j/k

Kathy - I have NO problem finding this fish a new home. While he does have a GREAT personality (eats out of my hand w/o biting me), i got him when this was a fowlr tank - a LONG time ago (back in the day when I would take out my "corals" and scrub them down when they started to grow algae on them (they were from a florida beach dead-zone - long bleached and white and "pretty" - sheesh, that was a long time ago...)

anyway, i have loved this fish, but my tank has changed so much from the fowlr days... time for this guy to move to a better home for him I think.

unless you can really talk me into sumping him for a while, introduce other fish, then bring him back - but i am just afraid this is MUCH more trouble than it's worth....

Hmm, maybe the idea of finding her a male could work out? Try the sump, bring in a male, a nice cozy nest for them to hang..a little frogspawn, a pretty anenome, play a little Barry White... and a couple of other fish (do you really only have 2 fish in that 75??) and then reintroduce her. If it doesn't work..then have a convo with JH's guy...:biglaugh:

Hi all - thanks for the advice. and also the pms. I know I have not answered all the pms - I have to catch the fish first, and it looks like that is in line. Once I have the fish-catching device at my place, then I'll post with a who-wants-him.

I would love to see her go to a nice BIG new home!

...Update on this fish -

so far, it's still in my tank, and i am more determined than ever to get it OUT. But I have a 20 gal set up now in the kitchen waiting for its new occupant. So for the time being, it's staying here.

I will probably want to get rid of it, but at the moment, I have no time to do much of anything. (I need ONE really good new job...)

anyway, thanks for the advice and also the interest - and still wish me luck on getting the bugger out of the main tank!
