[SIZE=-1]Hi, I've had an ocellaris clown in a 12 gallon tank for about a year, and I just added a maroon clown. The ocellaris attacks the maroon a lot, like nips at the fins. I tried to get a maroon that was about the same size as the ocellaris, but he is a bit smaller than the ocellaris. I'm wondering if the ocellaris is going to kill the maroon, or if it's a transient thing? Thanks

It will definetly kill the maroon. I tried it myself. I added a maroon clown with my two false ocellaris clowns. They attack him until he was dead couldn't even save him they went behind the rocks and nip at it until it was dead. Good Luck you will need it. I was just able to purchase another ocellaris clown they nip at him at first but its been a month and they are getting along okay but the new one is not allowed nest to there green bubble tip anemone or they attack him. So I bought another anemone for the new one no luck yet with him hosting in it. Going to try a purchase another ocellaris clown this weekend so I can have two pairs. It's my kids favorite fish NIMO. Have a good evening. Also I have a sweetlips clown much larger then the maroon nobody messes with him.

Yea clowns are some nasty little bastards to each other. Give that maroon a year and he wont be taken crap from anybody. Id put an established territorial maroon up with damn near any typically kept fish (barring some triggers of course)

Not sure if this is relevant but im currently keeping a large cinnamon and a sebae clown together and they coexist fine, for now
