I recently purchased a hang on refugium and some fish from an MR member and noticed what appeared to be flat worms on the refuge. One of the fish was a Mandarin that happens to be my favorite fish but i don't bother with them anymore because of their mortality rate (it would never make it in my 125 mature reef tank with 200lbs of rock because of 2 wrasses)
So being that I got it with all the other fish from the member I figured I'll keep it in his hang on refuge which was full of pods and then after some time switch it to my reef's refuge to give the pods in the other refuge time to multiply . When I got home and realized after hooking this hang on refuge that it was full of flat worms I ordered salifert flatworm exit it came in a week later but I don't know if I should use it I don't see anymore flat worms crawling around on the refuge .
Is it possible that the Mandarin is eating them?
I also bought a bottle of reefnutrition's tigerpods to make sure the mandarin doesn't starve it was in ok condition when I got the mandarin a little closer to the skinny side but now its looking alot better I know its not the pods I bought there was hardly anything in the bottle who knows how long they sat in fishtown then again its the first time I bought pods so maybe there are tiny ones in there and not only the 10-20 big ones that are vissible to the eye.

that's good news don't worry the mandarin will be transferred (every time I see the pod population go down ) to the fudge from my 125 reef and I also set up a 5 gallon tank to culture tiger pods but I don't know if that's going to work it's been running for a week and i see some detritus on the bottom of the tank i hope its not going to crash

I once had a mandarin that ate frozen food but I went away for a month and it never got fed R.i.p.
That has got to be the coolest when i walk into stores and ask them if i can see if the mandarins will accept frozen food the workers look at me like I have ick
