I'm not the best photographer in the world, but this is the new dogface I got from dombowski.


And one of the other 2 tank members - cowfish and foxface.

Yeah, the foxface has worked out really well. Got him from Mike Stern -- he was skittish when he first came in, but has a ton of personality now. The puffer's got a lot of yellow for a striped dogface, and shows no aggression towards anything. Sadly the cowfish, which is my favorite has come down with a case of ich, so I am hoping he pulls through.

questions about your puffer

I am looking to start my first salt water. Love puffers, but need to have a small tank until we buy a house next year. Do you know how quickly the striped puffers grow? Wondering if it will last 6 months to a year in a smaller tank (30-50 gallon). Don't think the floor can handle much bigger. Also, can they be housed with some smaller fish? If so, which ones are best? Sorry for so many questions, but I'd rather ask someone who has one. Thank you for the help.

My dogface puffer is house along with 2 clowns, flame angel, and a damsel. Other fish as well, but your question is regarding smaller fish. It should be OK for a year in a 30 or 50 depending on the size of the puffer. Do some research before you get one, concerning their teeth, their diat, so on & so.
