I have a 10 gallon with a clown goby 3+ years, a spotted cardinal 3+ years, a royal gramma 2+ years and a pair of neon gobies 1 year. Tank has a filter, 65w PC, a small power head and a filter. 12 pounds of rock-one big one, less than an inch of sand, snails, micro stars, candy canes and mushrooms. I have had no problem for the last 3 years. Recently I got corals from 3 different sources and my gobies ended up with ick shortly after that. I never quaranteened fish or coral so I have been very lucky till now.
I waited till the gobies cleared up and they got the spots a second time before I removed them. They looked bad. I put them in a bare tank and used Coppersafe. Then saw it on the gramma so I removed all the fish. The neons died and so did the gramma even though he did not look that bad. The cardinal has not shown any spots and the clown is very sick. The clown started looking better and then started eating. Now he has spots again and the clown and cardinal are not eating.
I am moving the temperature up to 82.
Anything else to try?

I have been treating with copper and raised tempurature and siphoning the bottom. The clown goby looks clean for a few days. The cardinal never showed any symptoms. The clown started eating as he was improving but now stopped. The cardinal also stopped eating. I am stopping the treatments and doing about a 30% water change. Will see how things go. My main tank is fallow for over 2 weeks and seems to like it. Annoying algae is going down and coraline on glass is growing. I do still put in a little food just so my detritus eaters do not starve.
