My new purple tang is acting weird!

My new Purple tang, who I got on friday, isnt acting like a tang. Hes kind of just chilling my the sand, not really swimming that much. He's not grazing at all and not really eating. I paid an over priced price for him of $89 because he was so gorgeous, however Im wondering if I should bring him back, because I really dont want to eat the money!

My parameters are perferct (I have a little bit of phosphates, but everything else is undetectable, and all the rest of my fish are doing great)

Should I give him more time?

He should have came around if your water parameters are good... But Exactly how high are your phosphates...And are your sure your nitrates are high... because that will do it if you got him from a place where their levels are low..

What other fish you have in your tank. And is anything beeing agressive towards it?

Oh and was he healthy and swimming when you bought him? eating and stuff? active?

Was he a healthy fish in other words.

Over priced? around my area the charge about 60 to 70 more for one. Anyway hasnt moved around or swam around? Also when you got if was it swiming around? Looks like you have a very sick fish maybe around its end.

When I got him he looked healthy but I couldnt tell about his swimming because the tank he was in was so small. He still not grazing at all, but doesnt appear sick.

There are other tangs in the tank, but just a hippo and a yellow, neither even paying him mind.

My nitrates are definatly low and almost undetectable

I acclimated him by dripping him for around 45 mins
