My My, look what we just caught recently in Mexico ...
A blueface passer-clarion angel hybrid.
It was one fish out of about 2,000 passers this summer and not that easy to find.
[ I say that because some customers ask for quantity discounts if they buy 2. ]

Steve,

What a nice fish it is ! It seems scarce in the wild, and you should be praised by ichthyologists, too. How long is it ?
You may find other individuals born at the same time there ! Anyway I hope that you can find a customer soon.

Hello Hiro,
Yes we do find a zone that seems to have a few but very few as is natural.
This year so far we found 3.
The one in the photo was 9 inches long and very eager to eat.
We do not look for customers on such fish but award them to good, regular supporters at a fair market price.
There is no bidding war as a fish like this "leads" an entire shipment of perhaps 10 more boxes of fish...
In that way, it is worth a lot more then just its own price.
We found a few more 6 inch clarions nearby this month also, but they are not seen as as big a deal as hybrids are now.
This is no doubt because clarions sometimes break loose in numbers and hybrids never do.
The hope for the coming year is a hybrid clarion/Clipperton.
Such a fish is genetically possible and perhaps...knock on wood, inevitable.

In my experience, if you have to ask, you cant afford it.

or at least need to hide the receipt from your spouse
