I visite once at Jhale's party, I believe that I saw a blue Triger in his tank, not sure now if that was a Niger Triger now! But anyone knows if it's a reef safe, can it stay with small fishes, I have a 90G.

Blue throats get real big, I tried one in a 90 but it just looked silly. It was like having a yellow tang in a 10 gallon tank. I ended up giving him away :(
If you ever get the pleasure of visiting chris (loismustdie)'s tank it'd be hard for you to put one in less than a 180.

Niger triggers get MUCH larger than blue throats. I too wanted a niger (they'll eat your inverts) but since I couldn't pull off a blue throat in a 90 I wasn't going to try a niger. Perhaps one day I'll have a HUGE tank...

Niger, pink tail, blue throat, and crosshatch triggers are said to be reef safe but not with shrimp or crabs. Although tempting i still wouldn't risk putting them in my reef(with all that money invested in corals and such IMO).

Have one currently in my tank for about a month and a half with no problems. Doesn't bother my shrimp or any other inverts. He's only 2.5-3" big and in a 65g so i know he'll be going out once he hits the 4-5" mark. Like angels you never know when they will turn on your coral. I have a hard time feeding the coral with him in the tank since he will bite at anything and probably nip the coral and take a liking to them. Its one of those "you never know when" type of fish. Peaceful and non territorial fish so i would think they are safe with smaller fish.

Just my experience, although limited.

I have a huge 10" Niger (his name is Bruce) in my 120. He rarely bothers the coral, but he does eat my hermits and moves my snails around. He also generates alot of waste. He has a very entertaining personality-always the center of attention when my kids' friends come over. Once he bit a piece of coral-his face blistered and he learned his lesson. When my youngest daughter goes away to camp (she won't let me get rid of him), I'm probably going to give him away or get another fish only tank . Large triggers generate alot of waste which stimulate algae, but the niger will eat your cleanup crew.
