I think Len will have better luck, get a better speciman, and save shipping, if he buys it locally. Since 99% of them that enter the US land near where he lives.

I've asked my LFS and none of them have it. This year seems very hard to find them. I heard the primary collector is ill.

I love black tangs. Gem Tangs are too pricey and the two I've seen in person did nothing for me.

Crissy, I emailed Fish Supply. I tried calling but kept getting the answering machine.

Karl, 4" might do it for me. If Fish Supply doesn't have any, I will ask Ming. It's a bit bigger then I wanted but I'm not picky right now. Did it look healthy?

I'll stick it in the 40 gallon until I get the tank for the new house.

SWF.com any good? Always been hesitant to order from them. Do you order livestock besides fish from them?

I have ordered coral and fish from there and have NO complaints. Fish are always healthy. The only thing you better make sure of what you order. If a yellow tang that you purchase is 3-4", you can expect that you will get a 4" yellow tang. There is special incentives for purchasing from them also. On your second purchase, they will give you a free item (there is a list to choose from) worth maybe $10. Then after like your 3 or 4th purchase they will bump you up to a second level, $20 item. So on and so forth. Their packaging is wonderful and package tracking is great. Always on time.
