FYI: Female rhomboidalis wrasse is also "displaying&quo

Yesterday, my female C.rhomboidalis started to display like the male, with the electric colors and collasped fins. It only did it for a few minutes and I wasn't able to snap a photo of it. It definitely was surprising, and the male didn't seem to mind at all. The female is still clearly a female, much smaller then the male and without the diamond shaped tail.

It is a very intereting info and please take good shots !

How about the coloration while it was exciting ? Metallic only ? Or the abdomen became whitish ?

I saw a female of C. flavidorsalis changing colors from red to slightly whitish overall with the belly more whitish when its large mate approached in a tank.

The female looks remarkably similiar to the male when doing its thing: bright gold with electric blues. It also collaspes the fins the same way.
