Thanks for the pics.

Yes, they are new to science. I received an email yesterday from Dr. Gerald R. Allen of Australia who WILL describe them.

He states that these were collected in northern part of Irian Jaya (New Guinea Province of Indonesia), together with many other new spp. of marine life, unique to the area. He is sure to inform me of their names within two months just after publication. I am sure to show them with photos then.

The Cirrhilabrus sp. looks very similar to C. walindi to me. Can you see what is different from this picture?

It is very similar (and probably also close) to C. walindi with a lunate tail, but with four irregular spots on back and a prominent yellow streak on side.

The Paracheilinus seems a member of the P. mccoskeri - complex, but I am not sure.
