Can't find this anthias anywhere. OK Deanos, what is it?

Awilda - you know your Anthias..what makes this guy different that you can't identify him?..Kinda hard to tell from the pics. Maybe a description?

Is that your new Longnose Hawk I see in the background?

Awilda, it might be morphing into a male. The transition period can sometimes leave them looking mottled.

Jason I've looked up your suggestion to no avail.

Guys, these two little fish are a salmon/peach color with a yellow dorsal fin, they are about 1". And some times they have a dark triangle blotch on the top of their heads.

I got them a few months back from another MR member. The fish were sold to him as dispars..

You should get yourself a good ID book. You certainly buy enough to justify it.

I have two of his "REEF AQUARIUM FISHES" 500+ ESSENTIAL-TO-KNOW SPECIES, Pocket Guide copy right 2001 & 2005. Which by the way the pic you mention above is in the 2005 book. Pic is small difficult for me to really say that is the fish I have.
Perhaps as they grow I'll be able to tell better. They may very well be the Hutomo's or possibly the Bicolor.

Kathy, thanks for the links. I've come up with two possibilities.

Randy...Awilda has 2 of whatever type these are and they do look noticeably different than her 'regular' anthias. The yellow coloration on the dorsal and tail is quite bright in person.
From the pics that I did get a chance to look through..the Randalls was the closest.
Maybe she got lucky? (go A!..lol)

Thanks for correcting my spelling Dean!
I'm 99% certain these are hutomoi. Telltale signs are the large eyes, and the lavender area on the top of the caudal peduncle.
they come in from Bali (where the dispars come from).
Pulcherimmus have an extended dorsal spine about three in from the front, and have a very differnt body shape from hutomoi.
