dory is in the hospital,thanks to all the members, a little stessed but she should be ok.my question is what should the copper levels be at it says follow the directions but I dont see were the level should be at

You want to treat at 2.5.

Also what copper are you using and test kit?

copper power and the test kit is just called copper test kit made aquarium pharaceuticals

Copper Power is a very good copper, you can actually treat well over the limit, 2.5, without any problems. As for the copper kit, it's not the best around and I would try to get FasTest Copper kit at the very least.

how fast should I bring that copper level up . the heat is at 82 and no light

Bring it up to the level over 2 days. So dose some now and in about 12 hours some more. Tomorrow morning bring it up to level.

Very important, make sure it's at level otherwise it wouldn't work. With Copper power you can go over level without any problems, so bring it up a little over level.

Great news Ken. Your right Dr.Marrone is in the house. Dori will be fine. By the way, you don't have a substrate in the tank do you, or anything else that can absorb the copper? Not the worse, just that you will have to add more copper for the copper that gets absorbed.
