hi,
is it possible that a carpet anemone could eat a yellow tang,he is about 8 inch in diam and is fed twice a week,i know they eat fish,my tang went missing 3 days ago vanished of the face of the earth,after stripping the tank down to the sand bed there is no sign of him.

Very much so! Carpets cannot be trusted with most fish and host anemones rarely live more than a few months in captivity.

I have to agree it is very possible for a carpet that size to eat a tang.
