Need help with sick Puffer...

Our spiny box puffer fish is sick. He has a white coating on his top. It looks weblike. He won't eat and was swimming back and forth across the tank very fast. Ich? These are the best pics I could get.

Is it possible that he has lymphocystis? I can't tell from the pictures.

I am sorry dsny19 but I thought those white spots were lymphocystis. I believe is the salt on your glass.

It is definitely not salt you are seeing. It almost appears that he is shedding his skin. It looks like a white web hanging from his spikes.

Thanks for the help. I went there but nothing seems to match up to what he has. His breathing is getting worse since we took him out of the main tank.

Try reading FAQs #4 & 6. Both mention sloughing white skin, possibly due to a bacterial infection.
