My poor CBB's eye has become much worse.
After the white spot subsiding for a bit I came home
today and found a white ball inside his left eye.

according to the National Fish Pharmaccuticals site he is suffering from eye fluke.

http://www.fishyfarmacy.com/Q&A/eye_disorders.html

the medications listed for treatment are Praziquantel -or- De-Los.

I will do further research but does anyone have experience with either
of these meds?

looks like I will be setting up a QT tank for the new year :arg:

this is frustrating, while sounding and looking like the description of eye fluke, I'm not so sure that is what the CBB has.

the life cycle of eye fluke (found here http://www.qc.ec.gc.ca/CSL/inf/inf043_e.html) travels from a seagull to a snail, then to the fish, then back through the bird that eats the infected fish. I have snails but have not seen a seagull near my tank since it was set up. :( :sigh:
