Foxface nipping on zoas

I have a baby black spot foxface probably around 2"-2 1/2" max. I got him to get rid of some bouble algae which he did a great job eradicating btw. I don't keep many zoas but the few frags I do have have been closed up and missing a few heads. The only other fish in the tank are a pair of clowns and a leopard wrasse. Has anyone had a problem with a foxface in a reef tank? I've read mixed reviews but most say there pretty good with corals. My sps seem to be fine it's just my zoas. I do feed pretty heavy but maybe I'm not supplementing enough algae? Just wanted to hear others experience with the fish.

Very possible and didn't think of that. Going to pick up some nori today and see if it helps :scratch:

You need to be careful with Rabbit fish and Foxfaces, as they will pick on and eat softies. I had a Rabbit fish eat all of my mushrooms.

Thanks, yea I've read their kinda hit or miss. I actually use to have a hippo tang who was a model citizen for years and then overnight discovered a taste for acans :bigeyes2:

They love algae. The key is to supplement their diet with nori. My magnificent picks on rock all day along in my reef. He goes crazy for nori..
