Picasso grade?

Hello. I want to see if I anyone can grade this Picasso clown. Wanted to see if the price is good for it? Thanks in advance.

I would say better then grade A, so premium.

Grade A Picassos have a stripe connecting the middle and rear stripes on both sides and if all are connecting from head to tail its a premium
if they are connected on one side only its a grade B

Does the fact the a fish has chinstraps or a helmet affect the grading? Or is it based solely on if the stripes connect?

I have seen some similar to that one go for about 130 - 150, but one of the side had the middle and back bar connected.

Thanks he is identical on both sides that is a picture when I first got him I will try to take an updated shot. I have him paired with a Black Ice.

I believe Grade A just means middle and back connect but has to be on both sides. I didn't purchase it graded I got it from Bath Ave Aquarium just as a Picasso and I liked it.

As should anyone buying fish for their own tank. I was just wondering because there are all these different grades, what was the requirements for each grade. A lot of the expensive picassos that I see have chin straps and helmets but that is never mentioned when grading. Does the chinstrap or helmet make a B a B+ and a A a A+ and so on?

You have to remember that this grading thing is something done by and for vendors. I don't think it is quite the art like koi grading.

That's basically what I was wondering. What stops anyone from saying their fish is this or that. Thought maybe there was some sort of standards.
