I posted this in the Bath Ave Aquarium thread where David announced the new shipment in yesterday but I am too excited and need to share in their own thread. Please allow me to introduce you to my new clowns. I was so anxious to add some life to my AIO and am just so very pleased with these two. So far they haven't left each others side. Without further ado:

So for the past week+ my clowns have been fighting but things seem to be settling down. I wasn't too worried because they both have been eating like champs and can take separate corners. Past two days they have been hanging out together more and tonight I noticed the picasso starting to host my frogspawn right in the center of the tank :)

they were probably just fighting out their hierarchy... usually small nips at each other but nothing damaging

Yes but this went on pretty long. I had a pair of maroons the same size pair up in 5 minutes but I credit that to them both being from the Bx. Also these two are diff subspecies as the black ice is ocellaris and the picasso percula. However my black ice has taken a fancy to my helfrichi firefish:

the perc's are more aggressive than the ocellaris. also perc's and ocellaris can breed even though they are different subspecies, so they will still have a hierarchy...

Actually was the ocellaris (black ice) that was the aggressor. They are fine now though :inlove:

Aaagh! I'm so jealous. My new clowns have been in there a month and they still hate each other. I can't even see one starting to become more dominant. They do really like to hang out with my two black axle chromis, but since they don't want to be together, they have to take turns!

I wonder if maybe they are just too young to bond yet. They are pretty small still.
