Ok, so I have this maroon goldbar clown that came with my first tank. Ever since I had him, he has been disturbing the sand with his tail. I feel like every time he sees me, he does that on purpose. He does this frequently and digs up passages, and after he is done, he keeps trowing sand all over my new acans. Someone please tell me what can be done or perhaps explain this behavior. The guys at my fish store told me that he wants to mate.

He has a small anemone, I don't move the sand from where he dug, my hand doesn't go in to the tank unless the coral needs to be cleaned or fed (using pickstick and a feeder). I feel like this guys owns this tank, not me, lol. In my previous tank he was moving rock around as he desired, literary flipping palm size rocks of the structure. His residence is untouched, but he resides in the entire tank, lol. At least I now know that he is not possessed.

I have (had two) one got big and the other stayed small. They did the same thing and never took any interest in one another. Highly territorial! In fact, anytime I put my hand in to do this or that they nipped the hell out of me! Thought a nem would calm them down. It didnt. In fact they drrove the nem to death with the constant picking and rough hosting. I finally got sick of the bigger one and traded him in for a regular orange and white 3 stripe clown. No aggresion there! The tank is much more peaceful and no more red itchy red marks from them. Thank God! Will never buy this strain again!

This fish has been gone for a while now. It was one of the most exciting moments in my reef keeping experience. Lol. Had to tell the truth, to my girl, she took it better then I thought she would :D
