I have noticed my Clown fish have been very well tolerated to water changes and/or water chemistry changes. What are some other fish that have high tolerability to water chemistry changes meaning jump in nitrates etc.

There are many, here is a few damsels including clowns, lionfish, triggers, emperor snapper, yellow tang, some wrasses, groupers, bicolor goatfish, and some angelfish. These are hardy fish imo but that doesn't mean they're immune to sickness. I hope whatever you decide you will give them the best care possible. Large tank, Clean water etc. Otherwise please don't buy them for the fish sake...

Its just going to be that lionfish in that tank a week after you put him in.

If your planning on doing extreme things with your water quality then I would suggest not keeping live fish, they sell plastic ones you can throw in the tank if you want something in there. I mean, sure you can put your dog outside in zero degree weather and he'll be there in the morning and tolerate it but that isn't what you should be doing to your pets. Theres no reason you can't keep a lionfish with a ton of food and waste and still maintain decent water quality.

Why would your water quality be not up to par? Why would your water changes be intolerable? and how bad are these chemistry changes and why are they happening?

Dude who posted above you sound like ASPCA for fish LOL.

Dude who wants a lion fish, You will need to keep the lion or any larger mouthed fish well feed if you plan on keeping small tankmates.

Dude who started the thread Damsels are the way to go if you keep having problems cycleing your tank. Super hardy and aggressive my little yellow damsels holds his own in my FOWLR. If you seen my tank you know I house large aggressive fish.

Tony the reason I refer to people on this site as DUDE is because this is a "Community" not a work enviornment. Second all I said was you sound ilke ASPCA I did not question his questions or reasons. Third what are you talking about my two cents are not needed I speak from years of experience and clearly referenced my own tank in my post. Sounds like we did not need your two cents since you did not answer any of the questions that had arised from the thread. Kinda sounds CHILDish....

I will not get into this with you good sir.

If you really do care for animals or reefs you should know where and when to put your two cents in.

Also if you did not already know text, pms or emails do not have tone so you need to select your words with thought or the reader will get the wrong idea... i.e get scared away.....

I'm a little lost. How would a damsel fix a problem with a tank cycling? Plz explain shaq.

I also don't understand why I need to be called dude because im in a community. Not trying to be rude i just don't get it. And since we have multiple topics in the thread i'll start another one. My 2c - Experienced and educated on a topic are two very different things. Just because someone can screw in a light bulb doesn't mean they understand why it lights up.

Everyone here needs to relax and stop being so touchy...the amount of people on MR getting aggressive on posts is really starting to get old.

The OP said nothing about experimenting, nothing about cycling...he asked about tolerating water changes and tolerating high nitrAtes so basically fish that aren't so sensitive and can tolerate some swings in parameters...

So someone answer the question and maybe the guy says dude cuz he likes sea turtles!
