hi fellows,
today, just after I bought a nice frog fish, I realized he should have swallow some air because was floating in the plastic bag.

Now in the tank he looks better but I'm wondering if there is a way to help him getting rid of the air he has ingested.
thanks for your suggestions.

ps: as soon as I'll ve reached 5 posts I add some pictures

I might be wrong, and al0ha please correct me, if he is floating then he pretty much is a goner. I've read something about a burping technique..

the day before yesterday, when I took it from the shop was floating without control.

now it looks much better.
it is "walking" around the tank and apparently looks fine. Maybe it is recovering.
Nevertheless it is not hunting yet.
Empire if you can find something about that burping technique would be really great.

when I opened the plastic bag, back at home, he was floating upsidedown.
i was really worried and this is why I wrote the post.
Now he looks definitely better. he is visiting the tank showing a decent control even with the powerheads on.

Yeah i would keep the froggy in a species only tank

1) they produce alot of waste
2) more importantly they like to crawl with their "paws" and might knock over frags, smother corals and irritate them. I kept mine w zoas and some gsp in a separate tank with no problem

I fully agree with you, on top of what you mentioned the biggest threat I see for him are the streams.
Because he is not very agile on swimming, when the powerheads are pushing hard, i'm always scared he can be sucked in.
unfortunately I've only one tank in my living room..............
