Ich Predicament-I cannot quarantine

I have a sailfin tang with ich, trying to catch him will surely kill him, the ich is not super severe yet. Long story short, while my UV sterilizer was out of commission (2 weeks) the outbreak began (Monday). I got it fixed today. Is waiting it out a good idea? Surely the free floating ich will get fried right? The tang is eating like there is no tomorrow, and the shrimp are all over him, is it safe to try and wait it out? I tried Kick Ich....it seemed to sorta help clear the tumors up but seemed to stress everybody else out, so i stopped.

Keep him eating and make sure to include seaweed to the diet.
Tangs can live with ich and so can your tank. Make sure everything keeps eating.

I'm no pro, but i had ich twice. The first one pretty much killed all my fish, i tried kick ich and 3 others on the market not one worked and reading thread after thread on many websites, none of them work for anyone else. The only known factor to work is QT. The second one was mild and caught early and worked,and i didnt qt them. What i did was every time I feed them (twice a day) i put garlic xtreme and vitamin c in there food. let it soak for five min. I did it for about 3 weeks. Now i like to do that every once in awhile. Can't hurt

I actually just ordered Garlic Guard by sachem to keep everybody eating. And by "tumors" I meant the parasite, like the ich spots, sorry.

Well it worked. Thanks alot man. The spots just cleared up. I just made sure he kept eating. Tangs get this alot don't they

Not a pro but Ich can last upto 6 months while attached to a host, be on the look out for future out breaks,

Tangs are susceptible to ich. They are also easily stressed which I think makes them vulnerable.
A healthy varied diet of meaty and algae based foods will keep them happy. Adding fresh macro from a refugium is also a great way to keep them healthy. If you don't have a fuge already you can make a small section in a sump just to grow macro for your tang.

More concentrated n I'm a big seachem fan... Use herbatana also they work great incubjunction wit eeachother

Its a reef, but I don't have a sump, since it initially was going to be a fish only system, but I made a mini fuge out of an aqua clear 70, just to hold my miracle mud. Maybe Ill put some chaeto in it?

EDIT: and yes I will be on the lookout for future outbreaks and no new vertebrates will be entering the tank anytime soon. But for now everybody is healthy and eating, just hangin in the current!
