Okay, I fot this fish from another hobbiest, and after putting it in the tank, I noticed some of these marks, then I believe the fish came down with ich, was in QT with cupramine, for proper amount of time, never stopped being a pig and eating. Ii is now in another tank alone, for a few months now, and he has these raised marks only on the white stripe part of his body as you can see from photos, he has been with a watchman goby, and some other small fish, no losses, and still a pig, I recently put in a small true perc with her, to see if she gets anything, to date no problems. Are these permanent scars/marks from a parasite, are they flukes? As mentioned the rest of the fish is perefectly clean, never any heavy breathing or sign of illness other than these. Please some advice on possible treatment, if flukes I do have PraziPro, although if so, would have imagined it was have stopped eating and passed by now, not the case.

Most Likely it is just from being a designer clown. Its looks like orange us showing through. Might just be a mutation.

is it getting better?

I have never seen a clown with ich have scars like that.

how long has the fish had these marks on her? I read somewhere that b/c of ich's life cycle, it should only stay on the fish's body for a week or so, then the spore go in the sand/rock, something like that. But if the marks have never fall off then maybe its something else or possible part of the clown's pattern.

Thanks DRE, you can see it on dre's fish sometimes this happens.

Dre did they get bigger? the spots?
I haven't paid much attention to the spots but i would think they would get bigger as the fish gets bigger as for birth makes on humans.

Referring to the title, this is the down side to cross breeding although some folks think they're cute. I've seen some been sold that are definitely rejects...

They will get larger as the fish grows and show more orange.

Im not sure if this affects the health of these fish but its another reason why i dont intentionally try to breed misbars or designer lookin clowns.

As mentioned they are large, when I got this snowflake it was brought to me in a bucket with a piece of rock and coral on it, bad move, maybe it was from the rock or coral, it is now hosting an RBTA.
