I picked up my mandarin a few weeks ago and she (i think) is doing fine!!

Yesterday I was spot feeding with some mysis and one fell to the bottom and there popped out "Mandy" (named by my kids) and sucked up the mysis. I was sooo happy to see that.

When I later fed the fish Mandy just sucked up everything she saw!!!

Nice, now next step is to get it to eat pellets! Took me a few weeks to get it to eat frozen, and the almost 4 months to eat pellets. I have had him for 5 years now going on 6. Good luck with yours

Awesome! I have one (a male) that is eating frozen. Haven't really tried pellets yet though since I feed frozen at least once a day. My roommate has the Spotted Mandarin that his fiance named Mandy too and shes a big hog, eats anything she can fit in her mouth!

I fed frozen for 7 years. I use to think pellet food was a filler and horrible to feed. Then I saw so many amazing show tanks... Feeding pellets. I tried it, and my fish loved it more then frozen. And, to feed to mandarin, its easier because it sinks!

No that's regular formula for fresh or salt. I use the saltwater only one

And I think they have 3 sizes of pellets. I use the smallest and the small mixed. I also use the reef micro feeder
