I think you'll be ok. You can probably get better par,with the right combo of bulbs, than your MH
EDIT: Yo Im going to retract that staement lol I just checked it out and I see a few probs. 1: It only has a parabolic reflector and not SLR's. 2: Its not made for aquarium applications( NO SPLASH GUARD!) and 3: It looks cheaply made. I would go for an aquarium made light that has a splash guard and single lamp reflectors, but that my opinion

It's hard to tell from the picture, the 2 and 4 bulbs version seem to have individual reflector between each one so this one might but the pic is too small.

If you'd get a hanging kit that wouldn't be an issue or you can fabricate a piece of acrylic to cover it.
