Skimmer Issue

Hello everyone, I think im doing something wrong / something is wrong with my skimmer, it is not filling up with water completely, and no water is coming out of the out-pipes and no water is going up top to the cone section

Here are some pictures, in the first one, the red line indicates where the water level sits, the green rectangle surrounds the outlet pipes, and the blue circles surround the tops of the outlet pipes, (which are open) it looks like maybe they are supposed to be capped?

Anyway any help would be appreciated as usual, thanks guys

u need air line connected to pump, this is where pump pulls it air, and why the tape on pipes ?plus the knobs are to adjust pump inlet and outlet, this i how you dial in a skimmer

+1 what NY said, I would lose the tape if possible and that little nipple between the pump and skimmer is where your air hose hooks up. And does the water pump out the top of the skimmer or just sit there? Water should be coming out of the green are you have marked.

The guy I bought it from said to put tape there, and im not sure what you mean by knobs? the blue circles? cause there is nothing there, just a hole

Alright guys, looks like theres something else wrong, I attached the airline tubing and now the water level is even lower, heres a pic

Any suggestions to what might be wrong?

ok first off it isnt the correct pump on there and here is a pic of it, it's a aquamedic turbo float 1000

Im not seeing any knobs anywhere, could you indicate on a picture where it should be? sorry

If thats the case, something is missing because as you can see there is nothing capping the top and no knobs present, is there any way I can fix this or do i need to get a new skimmer?
