the led tech isnt fully there, yea they look great but they dont really know that much about them yet. for now id say get a good t5 ho unit and upgrade to led in 2 years, the tech will be there and they should be a heck of a lot cheaper

Led is now better then what it was when it first came out . First it depends on what your keeping and size your tank is long wise . you can go with a 24led kit if your just keeping lps but if your keeping sps i would go 36led kit for sps.

PAR30/38s will work. AIs will work at a higher costs and controllablity. Ecoxotic Retro or some Panoramas will work. You may also want to look at Nanotuners or RapidLED retros.
