I am about to start purchasing equipment for a 125g reef.
Before I go place any orders I would appreciate any input on my planned equipment to prevent me from making any mistakes.
The tank is a AGA 125 reef ready.
I already picked up a 40g breeder to make a sump/refugium.
I also have a AquaC EV-180, about 200lbs of live rock and sand from my existing 90g. The 90 has no live stock in it.
New equipment I am planning for the 125g.
Lighting: I am hoping to get a 60" 6x80w T5 fixture if my budget allows. If not I have seen some good deals on used 3x150 HQI fixtures. Will 150w watts be enough for SPS? How hard is it to keep temps low enough without a chiller?
Powerheads: I am thinking of 3 Koralia Evolution 1400's.
Return pump: I would like to go internal to avoid drilling the sump. I have a Mag 9.5. Is that enough? If not suggestions are greatly appreciated.
