Lights Help Please !

Whats up everyone thanks for reading!, So my current setup is: A Coralife 65watt(per bulb) 4 bulb 48 in pc setup currently. they are suppose to have moonlights but the previous owner removed them. Today i lost 2 bulbs and they are 50$ each in the store figure its a good time to upgrade.

Im running a 55 gallon tank with a 30gl sump/fuge. I have about 7 corals in the tank. I wanna be able to put more corals in later. What kinda lights do you recommended? Id like to Add a Lot more corals and get the tank looking even better. Looking for light thats going to keep everything healthy and growing. Also want a setup thats going to have a nice dark lights that make everything glow all the great colors.

If anyone has an ideas let me know Im looking for kind of Lights T5, or PC or ...., what kind of watts i should get, an about around price or mabe a link to a site with a good light. Thanks for the help in advance!:birthday:

I would say t5s and probable around 4-6 bulbs

i think each 48" t5 bulbs are 54 watts each so thats around 220 to 330 watts for a 4-6 bulb set up. Leds are also amazing just so you know.

ok now i see a ton of lights out there all kinds of brands does anyone have preference? what are the best kind of light brands out there? and you say t-5 i have seen t-5/ halide setup what are the differences? think they are better or worse?

well if you have only t5 its cheaper and you can have antinics, but with halides you have more watts but no anitnics with both its more expensive but you have the advantage of both. also with halides and leds you get the cool ripple effect in your tank. i have only halides and i love them even by themselves.
