I have a 150 with 3 halides. Time to change and someone told me I can use 2 250 w 10,000K and 1 250W 15,000K. Any thoughts

This may not go with what you said....but if I were you, I would consider 14K Phoenix bulbs, they're white with a nice hint of blue. I have 2 of them on my 75 and I love the color

I've never liked the look of a tank with different MH bulbs across it. I always go with the same bulb in each socket. More of a personal opinion though... no reason you can't do it.

100% personal preference.

No health reasons (for the coral ) that you can't do it. The balance of light will be 'off' if the bulb temperature is really different.

I have to agree with Fortunato. My preference happens to be the Phoenix 250w DE bulbs. They're a beautiful 14k.......IMO

its really up to you.. the 2 10k 1 15k might look weird to some people but you may love it. i have 3 14ks above my 125 and i love it... but again its all personal preference... possibly try out 20ks..
