lighting for a odd size tank

Hi all,

I currently have a 120G with a length of 60". My question is is there any T5 lights with legs/feet that would fit on my tank? I've currently have a custom hood on it, with retro VHO built in it. I was planning to remove the hood, and maybe use a full lighting system. I did not want to install a T5 rero in the hood. Thanks.

Why don't you want to put a retro in there? Sunlight supply is selling readyfit kits that are pretty much screw in plug n play. And they have 5 ft ones.

well i think i'm going to go a different route....
I currently have a IC660 w/ VHO lamps.

Does anyone know if T5 of the same length as a VHO lamp will give off better lighting?

with individual reflectors only
IC660 will overdrive them so they will run hot

I would stick with 48"\54W t5 bulbs, 5 footers are hard to buy and ship.

i'm thinking 48" T5 also, most likly retro fits.

ya try to retro yourself something... if you make a hood then you can throw some 150w MH in there and it will look purdy
