You know, I was very enthusiastic about www.garf.org when I first set up my 29 gallon reef tank. I had been to their web site often to read about what GRUNGE can do for my tank, what with all its attributes, crustacian spores seeding my tank, sponges and coral spores just busting out..after a 6-8 week turn over, cycling, of which fro an established tank as mine is, 2 monthes is nothing when it comes to 'seeding' a tank. I had no problem and when I was ready this past October '06, I ordered thru their web page. I was amazed at the 'substrate' actually its just argonite with a few sprinkles of some colored rocks and some old shells mixed in.
Then the crabs and the snails came....the "Cleaning Crew' they so adroitly portray on their web site, Uh-Huh. 2/3rds of those have all since died, try getting the dead from out behind 52lbs of LR.
Thru the 'cycling time', I attempted to ask them about the 'coral' they put in my oreder for 'FREE'. I sent email after email and left 4 voice mails, with no RESPONSE what so ever. To get the response I did get, I sent an email to their web master, telling him these people do not communicate after the sale. Ive NOT seen my money back NOR any replace product.
Well, its the 17th of January, 2007 and as of about 3 weeks ago, I let LeRoy know just how great this GRUNGE is and here is his response to the email I sent to him. And, Ive YET to hear from them since>>
Hello, I am sorry that you are having no success with our
GRUNGE.
Please allow me to refund your money, and replace the product.
The grunge is a living product, and we feel bad that your small
batch was not all you hoped for. Shipping companies do
sometimes allow the packages to get too hot or too cold.
Thank you for your feedback.
