I am in the market for a protein skimmer, and don't care about the cost. I am lookin for the most effective model. Looking at efficacy, not necessarily efficiency, Becketts seem to have the edge from what I'm reading.

Does anyone have any experiences with Becketts, good or bad? I'm primarily looking at either the Precision Marine Bullet XL1 or Bullet 3 and the Aerofoamer 824 or 830.

Latest and greatest, anyone?

Works like a charm just as promised, and the best help from a manufacturer a user could want. Many other units just did not compare in quality capacity or ease of use.

Think twice before buying a Protein Skimmer, because this is a very important tool in reducing the amount of dissolved organic material in the aquarium water. This fabric consists of protein fragments and other waste, which assemble at air/water surfaces. Protein skimming can be considered as a form of mechanical filtration, since it is a physical process of removing substances from water, without any chemical or biological action.

So what are you trying to say? It is not clear to me shall I go for the Protein skimmer or should I go for any other supplement to fecilitate the needs! Because I heard that the wastes about which you are talking are needed in the water but cant surely say whether these are the wastes of any specific material, anywayas I would appreciate if you could clear this thing a bit more elaborately.
