Looking at the Eshopps Advanced Series ADV-100 Refugium. Anyone have any experience with these?

TIA, Maria

I have this sump. Well, I have the ADV-200 for my 75G.

I love it, havnt felt the need to change it, but there are a couple of nuances to watch out for. These are eshopps gen2 sumps, when I upgrade sump, i will go with an eshopps gen3.

Stuff to watch out for

1) No sock holder. Have to buy socks big enough to hinge onto the return slots acrylic.

2) only one side access to fuge, if you install backwards (as i originally did on my first build) you will need a mirror to see into your fuge. (see images below of my fuge, and imagine if i had it installed facing the backside of the tank)

3) Scratches easy, but since this will be under your DT, isnt a major concern.

4) I have had the sump for going on 3 years. I recently rebuilt my tank (Moved out of NY into NJ) and the sump was a bit warped. The acrylic panels used to build the sump arent as thick as I would like. However, no leakage, it's built extremely well.

Thank you so much for the input. I DID already purchase, it was just delivered last Friday so will work on setting it up next week. I see what you mean about having lack of vision to the rear compartment. I was debating which to face forward but guess it is better to have fuge fully visible.

I like the large equipment compartment. Did you put anything in it other than the skimmer? Would love to get as much out of my tank as possible . . . . thermometer, UV steralizer.

Slightly paranoid to make the switch but excited too, lol.

Thanks again, Maria

It's better to have fuge facing you, the stuff that goes in the back comparment is easily accessible without having to look into the whole compartment.

I have.. Phosban reactor, Temp Probe, PH Probe, Skimmer, just purchased a calc reactor and have enough space for it.

it's a great sump. good luck :)
