Hey all

I just got a RSM 130D very excited it's been awhile, coming back into the hobby.
Anyhow, planning to do some mods before I actually add water.

First I plan to add some fans because the hood come with 1 or 2 fans and because I plan on adding additional lighting for anemones and LPS. I don't plan on having SPS.

Currently, the RSM 130D comes with standard 2 x 55 watt T5 power compacts

So I want to add LED light. Here are choices:
15" Reefbrite tech LED blue only. $135 ( only 2 screw to attach the bar to the hood)
RapidLED DYI retrofit kit soderless kit. $255 I will have to gut out the hood.
Open to any other recommendation.

At first I kept the hood but because of evaporation there was moisture always all over the lights
Great point and I have experience the same with a Biocube that I modded with RapidLED. Everytime I lifted the cover to water change there was water and moisture on the plastic cover, but did not cause any issue.

I guess I have time to plan on what you look and what will be beneficial. But appreciate your input.

I've modded my hood and have a GHL Mitras LED unit in there. Initially had RapidLED DIY unit but found colors and control better with a pre made unit from a top manufacturer. It's about the same footprint as a Radion.
