RO/DI and iron in sedimentary filter

Just wondering if anyone else on Long Island is experiencing this lately. I bought a brand new RO/DI in September and I just changed my filters early this January (should have taken pics but didn't) since all three canisters looked disgusting.

I use my RO/DI for drinking water and the freshwater I need for my tank, but I installed a new sedimentary filter and carbon blocks and after two weeks this is what my brand new sedimentary filter looks like



I'm not freaked out since before the DI my tds is 2 and 0 after, just curious of others experience, thoughts. Thanks!

its not recommended to drink rodi water. ro is better for drinking.

I dont drink the di, just the ro
