Just my expierience do your self a favor get your own good double sided tape to mount the controller. I used the crap that came with it got home from work found my controller on the floor with the plastic wheel poped off. Luckily i was able to put it back on and reattch the controller with my own double sided tape.

Same thing happened to me, only my controller disconnected from the pump causing it to shut down and lose flow the whole day.. Luckily my return creates a good amount of water flow.

How do you like the bubble magus 7?

Umm its a good skimmer but requires alot if adjustment. I ended ordering a upgraded impeller from online cause the one that comes with it breaks often. Water levels got to remain constant for it to skim properly.

Hmmm thanks for the heads up. It's either bubble mag or reef cot. not sure yet lol right now I have an old reef octopus that needs to be replaced

yep a wheel upgrade is necessary for most of the models also another good upgrade you can diy is using ro line and a ro ball valve on the air line from the silencer for air control and makes the skimmer much more tunable and get work at maximum potential!
