I'm trying to dial in my pump to dose 30ML Alk and 30ML Cal. I was testing it over the weekend and I had to set pump1 at 39ml in order to get it to dose 30ml on the nose.

I had to set pump2 at 37ml in order to get 30ml.

I did prime the pumps before programming the dosing schedule.

Has anyone else experienced this with the triple doser? Do I have a bad pump?

Thanks

yes mine does the same thing somewhat.. for example pump #1 is for my kalk is set to dose 350 ml in 4 doses throughout the day. when i tested it to see how much it was actually dosing it came out to 260 ml a day. I think they are all the same with dosing less then what we put in to be dosed...

Unfortunately its sucks because we payed 300 bucks for this product and it can't even give us a dosage we set it to dose. Well thats technology for you. Thats why i place the output in a ml measuring cup to see what is being dosed and multiply that reading by how many times i have it to dose a day :)

The GHL looks great! The Vertex looks awesome as well. I have to do a little research between the two. Every time I try to "save" money buy going with less expensive equipment, it ends up costing me more money in the long run :( Buyers remorse here as well :(

Sorry, I should've suggested the GHL right from the get go. But this is MR, and if I pushed the GHL for double the price, BM owners would've went on a lynching. This is before all these BM issues...

Vertex looks great, but no experience. I had a GHL doser w/Profilux controller. Both are workhorses. Got rid of it because it would've cost me an arm to get the same features as Neptune Apex. So I just got an Apex instead...

I have my running about 14 months now. I just changed the little white hoses that came with unit. I never had any real trouble with my. I had a few twinkis to it. I agree with the person that said its more on running on time. I have 90 gal all loaded SPS tank. I have doser adding 80ml a day on 6 cycles. ALK 8.6 cal 430. When I first started I was adding 120 ml a day. Now alot more SPS gotten bigger and I'm using less. My conclusion was distance between height of BM Doser from the jugs with two parts and than back to sump. This played a big difference between amount of two parts that had fluid in hose. Along with a cap on jugs with a small hole in it. Here is the kicker to this. I was first using ESV two parts solution. After paiding almost $20 a gallon was getting expensive. I switched to BRS two parts which I made myself. Which ESV is supposed to be stronger solution. So I think its lenght of time doser running with a proper suction of fluid that properly being added to sump. Just my experience with this doser pump. One more thing I TEST ABOUT 2 times a week. And also mark the jugs everyday to see if the solution from jugs go down. I FEEL SAFE WHEN I SEE even amount go down. I place masking tape on jugs and use it as another measure guide.
