So I just got my halide fixture- 2 250w bulbs- my first time w halides- anyone have suggestions on bulbs- been looking at the 20k radiums- thoughts? Thanks guys

i just got a Ice Cap 250W DE with a phoenix 14k Blue bulb. OMG the color is amazing. But this fixture is just to hold me over till Wednesday when my ATI 24" 8Bulb t5 fixture comes in the mail.

i dont no much with MH bulbs. but when we were running MH 150W over the 34solana the HEXARC phoenix 14k Blue blub was amazing growth and CRAZY good color oh yea and a BLUE LED strip for supplement.

Ohh I forgot I have 150 w my with 2 t5 and led on my frag tank lol as far as bulbs am a renegade and I love mh I have tried most of the bulbs Def like the 14k bulb over the rest and in this order Phoenix/current /ushoi

For a DE 250w halide I would say the phoenix is the best choice. I used to like EVC 20k as well but I'm not sure if they're even made anymore.

Jackson that the only thing that crosses my mind what will I do when I can't get the bulb I like cause they don't make them anymore ....maybe I'll just start make my own bulbs so I can keep reefing the way I like

I got the geisemann Infiniti, so 2 250 w mh and 4 t5. I added a stunner strip blue led strip for some shimmer. So 14k Phoenix? How white is the 14k?

I have MH but seriously LED's are the future.

Not white it Blue u won't be unhappy and u can just use blue in the t5s to get the colors more like u like

Dre until they stop making mh bulb I'll stay in the past ....I'll still be cooking some of u led owners of the future of reefing from the past tho
