About a month ago i purchased a pre-owned system, soup to nuts. I've slowly been getting to know the equipment. I was wondering if anyone could give me some feedback on the wave maker set up i have.

Multicontroller 7095
(2) Turbelle Stream 6000/6100 (Transformer is the 7240.27)
(1) Turbelle Nanostream 6025/6045/6055 (not sure how to tell the difference between models)

Q1 - The streams are quite bulky and my wife thinks they are taking away from the overall aesthetics of the tank. What value, if any, does this system have? The thought of selling the whole thing and buying something that would have a less obstructive profile has crossed my mind.

Q2 - How old is this tech? From a performance stand point are there systems that are MUCH better?

Q3 - From a positioning standpoint where is the best place to put the wave makers? Above the reef, in front of the reef, angled, etc.

Q4 - Is this system too OP for a 120g system?

Thanks for your help guys!

The 6100s haven't been sold for a few years now. The nano stream, if controllable, is the 6055. The other two can't be controlled by the controller.

If you're looking to replace the 6100s, I would suggest 6095s for a mixed reef or 6105's if you're going all-out SPS. Vortech MP40s are also a solid way to go. They're not silent though, and that's definitely something to consider.

If you don't want to spend that kind of money, you can always buy Koralias or Tunze (the non-controllable kind).
