I've been thinking about adding this MH to my 75 gallon 4 foot tank.

The LED on the tank now is a 160 watt Razor.

Primary goals are to:

Increase growth and coloration on this very Acro rich tank. I plan to take the diffusers off the light so I can get a much wider level of coverage. Plan is to max out the LED first then run the MH 1 hour a day increasing an hour each 2 weeks until I get to about 4 hours on the MH.

Anything wrong with this plan?

I don't think a 150w halide is going to do anything for growth or color that the LED's aren't already doing. Adding VHO super actinics will work wonders for the overall spectrum and probably add some growth. A couple added T5 blue+ would work well also.

IMO unless you're going to go full halide with quality reflectors you won't see the benefit. Since you already have a point source light (LED's) I would use a linear source light (VHO's or T5's) to illuminate more of the coral to increase growth, and adjust overall spectrum with different color tubes.
