For the people with the Tunze 9002

Do you have to keep fixing the air intake in order to keep the skimmer from stop working?

Had the tunze 9002 and didn't really have to adjust once i kept the water level stable. Google the air intake mod for the tunze 9002, it's an easy way to make it possible to fine tune it better.

I did the mod, but I always have to keep adjusting the air intake, its in the sump first compartment and the water is always stable. Also my skimmate is always too wet. Right now is not skimming at all. Last nite was skimming very slowly. I don't get it.

Did you mod yours? Can you post a link to your mod, so that I can see if it's the same one i did.

I actually didn't mod mine and got some pretty good skimmate from using it in my 7.5. I tried the mod and couldn't get the bottom to close right

Ok, yeah closing the bottom was a pain, but I managed to close it. Ok thanks for the reply.

You should probably do the mod because the air intake on the Tunze is not too precise. Mod is very simple to do:

Hey custom that's the mod i did, and the water level is at the same level as the video. My cable is a lot longer though, maybe air has to travel more and that's why i have to keep adjusting the valve?
