Some advice that is totally my opinion: 1- You are gonna hate the 15" front to back dimension on the tank your looking at, its gonna be a pain to aquascape, 2-Ypu really don't have to go with live rock or live sand. You can if you want bit its cheaper to go all dry and you don't have to worry about hitchhikers 3- Whats the cat litter for?

Go with the Apex instead of the Reef Keeper Elite for controller.

Contact Russ- masterswimmer is his username on here. He'd be a great person to talk everything out with and to have help you make final decisions. He will also be able to get you everything you need and is in Chester, so he's not too far from you.

Good luck with whatever setup you go with.

www.saltwatercritters.com is his site also

+1... Go for a wider tank. Makes for better landscaping so that your corals can grow out. Try getting Fiji rock. Never heard of Fugi rock, lol.

Never heard of it Jonny? You get 2 free disposable cameras with every 50lb. purchase of their rock.

Sorry original poster, had to.

Who's Jonny, lol?

Seriously, you may want to try different types of dry or live rock such as Tonga Branch rock or shelf rock so that you have different levels to prop your corals on top of.

+1 go 18" for sure. I have a 72 Bow currently and its 12" on the sides, sucks big time. I picked up a 75g standard dimensions but my tank is too healthy and now I scared my sps wont take to the switch.t I want my sps to flourish not starve.
Maximum reef is dope, If you want any livestock at all that is the place, but as far as equipment you cant beat prices of monsters like marinedepot or drfostersmith.

Dont u need some to seed the system. Not a big fan of dropping something dead (Shrimp etc....) in the tank.

Dont use kitty litter or mirical mud for your fuge. Just use regular aragonite. As far as the dry rock and sand for the dt, you seed the tank with a lil sand or a small piece of live rock from an established tank. Or you can get a small shrimp from the supermarket(not cooked) and put it in a media bag. This will start the ammonia cycle and you'll be good to go. Or,lol, you can ghost feed the tank with flake food every couplke of days.

I would luv to but only found a acrylic tank at 48" for 75gal in length cant do 60" no space. Thanks.
There is nothing in that post that mentions a 60" tank. A standard 75 gal tank is 48"x18"x21"

Will aragonite keep cheato planted and keep growing.I plan to keep cheato in my fuge. Does the plant(algae) need something to anchor too? I really dont know?

chaeto is free floating no need to anchor it down its just a big ball of grass lol as for powerheads go with vortechs i love mine. and for controller go apex. and u need not drop a dead shrimp in tank just feed tank a couple of days. i bought 50lbs of eco rock and 1 10lb live rock just to "seed" tank with my caribsea arag-alive sand. like mentioned above talk to russ aka masterswimmer hes a great person to deal with, trust me i eamil him ALL the time and he responds back each time.
